Planning For Your Visit

Arrival and Check-in

  • Directions:  To navigate to campus, please use the address in your favorite GPS mapping app.

  • Check-in: Please plan to arrive to campus 30-45 minutes prior to your visit start time to allow time to park, walk to, and check in at your visit starting location (not all tours start at the Welcome Center, please check your confirmation email to verify your start location). You may check in via email or in person. If you are coming to visit our campus by yourself on a self-guided visit, you are welcome to check in to the Welcome Center during operating business hours.

    Cal Poly's Welcome Center is in Building 172H (Tip: search Cal Poly Welcome Center in Google Maps. It is located to the left side of Scout Coffee on campus). We're open Mon.-Fri. from 9 a.m.-4 p.m., excluding campus closure dates and holidays. If you have any questions, call 805-756-5934 or email us at welcomecenter@calpoly.edu.

Parking

Recommended Parking: Structure 131 (next to the Cal Poly Welcome Center). A daily visitor permit is required ($12).
You can pre-purchase a permit through Offstreet. Enter your license plate, visit date/time, and payment info. A confirmation will be emailed, and your plate will serve as your permit (license plate recognition is used). Make sure your plate is clearly visible.
Day-of, permits may be purchased via Offstreet or at the kiosk outside Structure 131. Each daily visit requires a new registration.

Overflow Parking

If Structure 131 is full, park in the Grand Avenue Lot (130) on Pacheco Way. If both are full, use lots H-14 or H-16. Still purchase a $12 daily visitor permit.
