Please note: PAC locations for breakout sessions will be assigned closer to the summit, session attendance is required to register for lunch, if you register for workshops please bring your laptop.

Demystifying Transfer Admissions

This session provides a comprehensive overview of transfer admissions at Cal Poly, offering insights into the admissions process, key deadlines, selection requirements, and applicant pool statistics. Discover how selection criteria shape the transfer applicant pool and influence admission decisions. Attendees will also gain valuable knowledge about a transfer analysis tool for evaluating the coursework that a department has added to the selection criteria.

Federal Work Study

Departments with a Federal Work-Study (FWS) student pay only 25 cents of every dollar earned, which is significant savings to your budget. This session will discuss FWS, how it is awarded, how you identify which students have the award, and how you hire and track FWS students.

Did you know the Cal Poly Admissions Office has regional admission managers who work remotely around the country? We invite you to meet them and learn more about their roles. They will be sharing about the upcoming Bridges to Paradise fly-in program which allows out-of-state high school counselors to have a first-hand experience on campus to help them as they advise their students about Cal Poly. Our regional managers will also share about the Spring Welcome Events they have planned in their respective territories to welcome admitted students and their supporters looking to join us for Fall of 2025.
