Cal Poly Summer provides a variety of undergraduate and graduate classes in four sessions for Cal Poly students. Which means you can seamlessly (without needing to enroll elsewhere nor worry about submitting transcripts) catch up or get ahead on your degree by taking courses offered by all six of Cal Poly's colleges.

Registration opens Thursday, April 24, but you can start making your summer schedule today by reviewing the Summer 2025 Planning Calendar or visiting the Office of the Registrar for additional information.

Summer 2025 Fee Structure

Summer 2025 Undergraduate

Units 1-4, $290 per unit *

Units above 4 will be assessed at either part-time or full-time rates

5-6 units (part-time) = $1,176

7 or more units (full-time) = $2,028

Summer 2025 Credential

Units 1-4, $320 per unit *

Units above 4 will be assessed at either part-time or full-time rates

5-6 units (part-time) = $1,366

7 or more units (full-time) = $2,354

Summer 2025 Graduate

Units 1-4, $345 per unit *

Units above 4 will be assessed at either part-time or full-time rates

5-6 units (part-time) = $1,472

7 or more units (full-time) = $2,536

* If you are not a resident of California, you must also add $280 per enrolled unit of Non-Resident Tuition to the total amounts above. Please see the summer fee estimation page to calculate additional Non-Resident Tuition fees.

More Summer

In addition to undergraduate and graduate classes in four sessions for matriculated Cal Poly students, additional courses are available through Extended Education.

Every summer, incoming first-year students have an opportunity to accelerate their academic studies and begin their Cal Poly experience early through the Quarter Plus program.
